History & Origin
One of four Belgian shepherd varieties, the Malinois was developed around the city of Malines for herding and farm work before its drive and trainability made it the top choice for modern K9 units.
Appearance & Coat
Medium-sized and square, with a short fawn-to-mahogany coat and a black mask. It is built for speed, agility, and endurance.
Temperament
Intense, confident, and tireless, with a strong protective instinct. It needs an experienced owner and a real job.
